We're on a mission at Swift to deliver the best possible experience - for you, your staff, and your customers.
And this month, we took an important step in that direction, with saved cards for checkout. Keep reading for more info!
One of the biggest reasons why facilities chose Swift is the easy and lightning-quick checkout that they can offer to their customers.
While this has always been a strength of ours, we are always looking for ways to improve and serve y'all better. Today we've shipped a key improvement in the checkout flow - leading to a significantly faster experience for your customers, and hopefully more bookings & $$$ per month for your business.
You might be thinking "What's the big deal? I thought we already save payment info on file for our customers?"
Great question.
While it's true that we saved card info on the backend anytime a customer pays online at your facility - the card was never shown in the checkout flow. This means that if I make a booking today with my Mastercard, and then come back tomorrow to make another booking - I have to re-enter my Mastercard details (even though we technically have the data on our side to pre-fill).
That changes today.
Now, once customers have entered the card once - it'll show up as a "saved" payment method during checkout so they'll never have to re-enter the card again.
They just click "Pay & Confirm", and the booking is made.
Check out these GIFs to see the difference in speed between what existed earlier, to how the flow works now. It's night and day!
Before (Enter credit card every time) ~22 seconds
After (Saved credit card details) ~10 seconds
With this change, we also now allow you to manage payment methods for customers directly in Swift! Earlier, you had to navigate to your Stripe Dashboard to add/remove credit cards. Now, this can be done directly in the Swift customer's page.

As always, the product will keep getting better - here's a taste of what's to come in the next few months:
