It’s 2025, and our team is already cooking up new features 🎉
If you missed our ‘2024 Wrapped’, be sure to check it out as it was Swift’s largest year to date. Now, let's look at how we’ve started the new year.
Here is what shipped in just the past 31 days:
PS: we also unveiled our brand new logo at the start of the month ✨
PPS: stick around until the end…we have two surprise updates coming next week for you 👀
Sounds interesting? Let’s dive in.
In December we shipped the Bookings report - built to easily find past and future bookings at your facility. New this month is the Occupancy report, which is equipped with even more visuals to help you understand the usage and performance of spaces at your facility.
You can filter for date ranges in the past and future, and a dashboard will highlight key areas like best-performing hours, time of day usage, weekly usage, and much more.
As with all our reports, a line-by-line breakdown will follow which will highlight the bookings at each room along with the customer, service, revenue, etc.
Let us know how you use this data to make decisions and maximize your business’ profitability!
Schedules in Swift are great for regular day-to-day business hours, but updating them one-off for holidays used to be a pain. This is no longer the case! This month we updated Schedules with two new features: date overrides and multiple time slots per day.
This means for a specific date(s) you can apply new (temporary) hours of operation. These hours will override the current schedule and dynamically adjust all booking slots for services with a single click.
Further, customers will also see these adjusted hours displayed on your booking page.
Some facilities run programming during the morning hours, then close, and reopen for the evenings. This is now possible in Swift! Now, you can easily add multiple time-slots for a given day. You’ll notice this reflected in your Calendar as well, showing multiple time windows on the respective day.
Lastly, the overall UI of schedules has been tidied up and the concept of “Copying Times” to a different day is a little more intuitive now than the old up and down arrows.
💳 Preventing Card Removal from Active Memberships
A minor annoyance for some facilities has been that customers either accidentally or intentionally remove their credit card from their account settings while on an active membership.
This is no longer possible! Swift checks if a credit card is tied to an active membership, and prevents customers from removing the card on file if that’s the case. This means less administrative work for you, and a more seamless membership experience for your clients!
A small, niche, bug was impacting our facilities in states that straddled timezones (for example Tennessee). Customers in a time-zone east of the facilities wouldn’t see the correct time-slots on the booking page resulting in lots of confusion and inability to book services in rare cases.
We’ve now fixed this, so customers in all timezones will see the right time slots at your facility when making bookings!
Our team was pushing hard this month to release a long-asked feature and improvements to our membership/service pricing forms. Expect a longer breakdown in next month’s email, but sometime early February you will see these two features ship:
To help alleviate the burden of credit card processing, you’ll now be able to create a custom fee on your services and pass it on to your customers! For example, you can pass on the 3.5% processing fee for your lessons, or charge a 5% “technology fee” to clients when booking a cage rental service in a HitTrax cage.
Far too often, we’ve seen facilities trip up over forgetting to add prices for their services after launching or creating a new membership. This leads to frustration for customers (since they can’t see the services), and a moment of panic for you and your staff. We’ve seen this as an opportunity to revamp how services & pricing is done in Swift. We believe this new approach is much more intuitive, and should lead to fewer errors with membership discounts going forward!
Our team is dedicated to making Swift a sleeker, faster, and more beautiful experience for you, your staff, and your customers. Our plan is to make 2025 our best year yet delivering for all of our facilities and the clients using Swift.
