🛒 Retail & product sales reports

In the fall, we launched retail and product sales to accommodate a growing demand among facilities for an easy solution to items and to sell products (i.e. merchandise, Gatorade, etc) natively through Swift.

Building onto this feature has been at the top of our list for this year. The first step to those improvements is new reports for retail sales and items.

Let’s spend some time talking about each.

Retail sales report

The retail sales report is designed similarly to the general sales and revenue reports in Swift but will focus exclusively on retail transactions.

At the top, you’ll find summary cards showcasing key metrics related to retail sales. Below, there’s a line-by-line breakdown of all transactions in your selected data range. You can easily filter the report by customer, payment method, product, etc, and as always is completely exportable as a CSV.

Retail items report

Next up, the items report is geared towards inventory management and performance.

Within your selected date range, you’ll find 4 cards at the top indicating revenue but also KPIs for your best-performing items followed by a line-by-line breakdown of your items sold.

We hope this report will help you manage your inventory and indicate which items in your product catalog are your highest earners.

😎 Booking page stylistic improvements

The branded booking page has long needed a facelift. This month we’ve started that process with a couple of small improvements!

The biggest difference you’ll notice is that your facilities logo will now be on the top-left with the Swift logo being moved to the bottom of the page. We believe this is more intuitive for your customers as now they can click on the facility logo to be taken back “home” to the landing page for all your services. This also keeps your facility in the front and center - a key piece we want to reinforce as we make even further changes to the booking page in the coming months.

This is just the start of the facelift and improved booking experience. Be on the lookout for upcoming improvements like:

  • Search and filter to all service categories
  • Splitting Classes and Camps into their own categories
  • Service card images
  • + much more to come!

📅 Public-facing calendar toggle

If you didn’t know, Swift can showcase a “view-only” calendar to your clients. Many facilities opt to display this on a TV to quickly show members which cages they are in. You can also embed this onto your website to give customers a glance at available time slots before booking.

Whatever the goal is, to enable this calendar prior - our team had to be notified and turn it on manually. This led to a few days of wait time, and many facilities being completely unaware of this feature.

No more!

You can enable this calendar through the “General” settings. Further, you can customize what appears on the calendar with the “Event Title Display” options.

Event tiles are essentially the name of the client booking or class title. Depending on your facility's needs, you might want to hide this information from the public, or only display this for classes.

🏠 Rooms reordering

We released service reordering a while ago to help you sort services in a customized order. Since then, we’ve heard of another common request to resort/reorder “rooms”.

Often, facilities join Swift before finalizing the physical layout of their facility. As they grow, they’ll also renovate their place to include more cages/courts/spaces. At any rate, doing so could make your calendar and room configuration look out of place.

In the past, updating the order of rooms in the calendar required an engineer on our team to manually make the change. Not anymore!

Within the “Rooms” settings you’ll find a slightly redesigned UI with arrow icons in the “Actions” column indicating the ability to reorder each room within your room hierarchy. Nested spaces can also be collapsed within the table to clean up the view and allow for easier sorting between hierarchy levels.

📧 Staff email changing

On the theme of self-serve & empowering you to make changes, we’ve now added support for changing staff emails. Within a few clicks you can update a staff member’s email yourself within the staff’s profile settings.

Simply click on the “Change email” prompt and enter the new email address.

🩵 Support beacon

A big theme of this month has been making Swift easier to use. However, we understand that it is still extremely helpful to talk to a real person to troubleshoot issues or give you helpful tips on navigating everything on Swift.

We’re excited to add an even more direct line of communication to our support team with an integration through Help Scout (a customer support platform we use to monitor support inquiries).

You’ll see a new button on the admin toolbar called “Contact us”. Clicking on this will open a support beacon equipped with “Instant answers” from our help center and a direct email form to our support team.

Another extremely powerful feature of this support beacon is the ability for our team to send updates and notices directly to all facilities across Swift. You might have already seen this earlier in the month when we launched the booking page layout change—we sent a helpful update blast to facilities on the bottom right of the page, which they can view on their next visit.

We’re really excited about this capability and will definitely be sharing future product updates in this way along with this newsletter of course 😊

📊Table/page-specific CSV download

Lastly, a final important quality-of-life update. Previously in Swift, CSV downloads had fixed column options irrespective of the table you wanted to export. This has now been updated, and the columns in your exported file will match the table.

🛣️ The road ahead

Our team is dedicated to making Swift a beautiful, sleek, and delightful experience for you, your staff, and your customers. We are well on our way to making 2025 the best year yet and have even more exciting updates coming in the near future.

Here’s what’s ahead:

  1. Dynamic pricing (based on time of day or day of week)
  2. Improvements to our classes & camps offering
  3. Improvements to our existing invoicing and product sales offering
  4. A notification center to help you decide how you want to get notified
  5. Wallets & storing balances on file
  6. Self-serve “check-in” for events
  7. + a ton more

If you have any questions about the material mentioned above—or anything else—reply directly to this email, and we'll help you out.
