We’ve shipped one of our most requested features this month!
Next time you open Swift and visit the Calendar, you'll see a brand new view that includes a ton of additional information and capabilities.
In this email, we'll break down exactly what's been added and how you can use it to make your life easier.
The calendar events have undergone a major upgrade, showing everything from the type of booking, attached customers, instructors, and payment status!
One of the most common questions we heard from customers & facility owners was "How can I see who's paid for a booking easily?"
Previously, this was possible by clicking into the event, hitting the pencil icon, and scrolling through the modal. That was too many steps - especially since the calendar page is usually kept open as customers walk in.
So now, we show it right on the event! You'll see a "$" icon + a badge that indicates exactly who & how many customers have paid. Here are some examples:
If no customers have paid - you will see a crossed-out $ sign.
If one or more customers (but not all) have paid - you will see a $ sign with a badge that'll indicate exactly how many customers have paid.
If all customers have paid - you will see a $ sign with a checkmark badge
Previously, events were coloured based on their room. We soon realized that this isn't useful, and instead, they're now coloured by their booking type (i.e. rental, lesson, class, etc) so you now at a glance exactly what kinds of services are being booked.
Here are some examples:
You'll also be able to see exactly which customers and staff members are attached to a booking. They'll each show up slightly differently:
Staff members will show up as "Avatars" on the right-end of the event. If there's multiple, you'll see a badge indicating how many.
The customers will show up below the event title. If there's more than customer, you'll see "& others" on the event.
Another frequent ask was to be able to filter the calendar for certain types of bookings, or bookings with certain instructors. The Swift calendar can now do all this, and more!
You can now overlay both regular bookings, as well as staff availabilities on the calendar! This makes it much easier to plan the week, and add bookings manually with instructors when customers call-in.
Tracking events for specific people, or specific types of events (i.e. lessons) wasn't possible earlier. You can now do this by clicking on the "Manage Filters" icon in the calendar sidebar!
Click on the "Manage Filters" icon to apply filters.
You'll now get the ability to apply filters for specific booking types and/or specific staff members.
Once applied, the filters will show up on the left sidebar
Sometimes, you just want the calendar to only show a view catered to your preferences. For example, instructors might only want to see events with them.
They can now do this by clicking the save icon on the top left! This will save their filters/toggles as "preferences", so the calendar looks exactly how they want it - whenever they want.
A final request that we knocked out of the park was being able to add customers easily from the calendar! This can become really useful if someone new calls in to try and make a booking.
Just simply drag/drop like you normally would to create a booking, and you'll see a "Add new" beside customers. Now you can easily create and add the customer, all without leaving the calendar page,
Click on the "Add new" to add a customer.
You can now add the customer by just entering their first/last name, and email.
That’s all 😮💨
