With more facilities joining Swift every month, we dedicated February to making sure the app remains wicked fast, bug-free, and stable. Of course, we also slipped some long requested features in because..... well because why not?
Here's a full list of what we've released:
1. A new support email (support@runswiftapp.com)
2. Calendar speed improvements and filters on mobile
3. Start and end date restrictions for slots (for rentals, lessons, and drop-in classes)
4. Additional "revenue categories" for one-time payments, and a more accurate breakdown in reporting
5. Bug fixes, stability, and UI form improvements
As the team grows, and more facilities join Swift - we must keep customer support incredibly quick, responsive, and efficient.
To facilitate this, we've launched a new support email! It will be constantly monitored by our team - where each week, we will rotate the person "on-call".
This person will be responsible for answering any questions, or concerns, or helping fix any glitches that you may experience.
Note this down:
The calendar is the bread and butter of your facility, it's the most important and most frequently used page. So naturally, the calendar must be lightning fast - it shouldn't take 10s to load the page or navigate between days.
Unfortunately, for facilities with lots of rooms OR a lot of bookings - the calendar was really struggling. On occasions, the page would take as long as 30s and the weekly view had become completely unusable.
Not anymore :)
Our team of magicians has spent the month brewing up a speed concoction, and boy is it good. The calendar page has literally improved by 10x in terms of average. load time, and this affects both daily and weekly views. Creating, editing, and deleting bookings is much snappier as well.
We also received feedback that while the Calendar is great on desktop, coaches don't always have access to their computers in the facility. So the page is often used "on the go", and on mobile - it wasn't up to par.
As you can see below, that's also changed
Mobile Filters
If you visit the Calendar page on your phone, you can now filter the view by room(s), staff members, and specific booking types.
Once you've applied the right filters, you can save this as your "default" view, so you're able to easily see what's relevant to your day-to-day.
This has already been a big hit with trainers and coaches, who are "on the run" more often than administrative staff.
A common request we heard from facility owners was being able to "restrict" the slots shown to clients.
This includes things like
All of this is now possible!
You can configure this per rental or lesson by visiting the configuration for that service under Services, and going to “Advanced Settings”.
Here you can setup slot restrictions as per below:
💸 Revenue Categories for "Other" Payments
While most of the revenue at your facility might come from things like memberships, rentals, lessons, or clinics/camps - you also have other sources of income. This could be things like:
To get a better idea of the breakdown of revenue for these "Other" categories, we've now added the ability to create revenue categories when charing customers with one-time payments.
This feeds directly into the Sales & Revenue report, so you can view a complete & accurate picture of the finances at your facility.
And that's all folks!
Here's a taste of what's coming up in the next few months:
