Swift x Zapier: A New Level of Automations

Swift just got a massive unlock - we now have an official integration with Zapier!

 

If you aren't familiar with Zapier, it's a no-code platform that allows you to connect two (or more) different systems together. 

For example, you can do things like:

  • Gmail <> Slack: When I get an email with the word "Amazon", send my wife a Slack message
  • Google Calendar <> OpenPhone: When I get a calendar invite, send me a text through OpenPhone

And now, Swift can also connect to Zapier! So you can connect Swift to 6000+ different systems and tools of all kinds.

How can I use this for my facility?

The first version of this includes a "trigger" for a customer account creation. This means that anytime a customer is created in your Swift account, we'll send that "event" to Zapier and you can "listen" to it for your own automations.

In the future, we'll expose other types of events like "booking.created", or "membership.created" so you can create other unique types of automations.

Imagine:

  • Sending a welcome email to every new customer by connecting Swift with Mailchimp
  • Setting up a remote lock anytime a booking happens by connecting Swift with Brivo
  • Syncing your Swift customers with a marketing CRM like Zoho and creating an email drip sequence
  • and much more!

The possibilities are literally endless

Initiation Fees & Weekly Memberships

A small but common request we heard with memberships was the ability to charge initiation fees. Charging a small, upfront fee works as a great way to secure a commitment from customers, even if the actual program starts a few months from now! 

We've also heard folks request the ability to charge weekly instead of monthly or yearly.

None of this was previously possible in Swift, and it now is!

 

How it works

Under Advanced Settings for a given membership, you'll now see a new option to set an "Initiation Fee". 

This fee will be shown (and charged) to customers when they first sign up for the program.

Once it's been saved, it'll appear as a separate line item when the customer goes to purchase the membership on your booking page or branded mobile app.

There's also a new option to set weekly recurring pricing, instead of monthly or yearly. More flexibility for your business!

Swift Help Center

As Swift continues to grow and add features, it makes sense that sometimes you lose your way. Or you forget how to do something. Or you're not sure whether a certain feature exists.

So far, reaching out to your friendly neighbourhood support team (support@runswiftapp.com) was the only way to get help. Even with industry-leading response times, it's understandable if reaching out via email isn't your ideal option.

Ideally, there'd be a way for you to self-serve and answer your own questions instantly without asking anyone for help.

We get it. So we built it.

Introducing our brand new Swift Help Center!

 

With articles and content on every feature, from first getting setup, to managing availability, to answers for our most commonly asked questions. Lightning-fast search, a sidebar with a table of contents, and buttons to get back to admin + email our support team are all included.

Plus a nice touch for those that appreciate it, our help center comes with dark mode
